Limu Drift comes from Ethiopia’s Oromia region, grown around 1,600 meters on small farms cultivating heirloom Arabica varieties. This coffee is wild yet balanced, offering a fruity, wine-like brightness with a smooth, full body. It’s less floral than Yirgacheffe but just as expressive, making it perfect for those who enjoy vibrant Ethiopian profiles without overpowering florals.

Wholebean:
Grind at home and dial in your optimal grind setting for different brew styles.

Espresso / Moka Pot:
A fine to medium-fine grind, perfect for espresso machines and moka pots. It’s also an excellent choice for filling your Nespresso® reusable pods at home.

Filter / AeroPress:
Medium grind, spot-on for V60, flat-bottom drippers, and AeroPress brews.

Cafetiere:
Coarser grind, perfect for a smooth french press cup.

The Origin Story

The Producer

Limu Drift is grown by smallholders in Ethiopia’s Oromia region, coordinated through farmer cooperatives that support training and fair trade practices.
The Land

At roughly 1,600 meters, Oromia’s highlands provide a cooler climate and fertile soils perfect for heirloom varietals. The landscape is marked by dense forests and rolling hills that sustain both coffee and local ecosystems.
The Craft

Producers use washed processing to preserve the region’s signature wine like sweetness and gentle acidity. Cooperative infrastructure ensures quality while reinvesting profits back into local communities.

18g in • 36g out • fine grind • 26–30 s extraction for a fruity, wine-like shot
Aeropress

16g coffee • 200g water just off boil • medium‑fine grind • 10g water 5s bloom, then 190g water stir 5s • 30s slow press at 1:30 until hiss
Moka Pot

15g coffee • 105g water • medium-fine grind • remove at first gurgle for winey fruit character
French Press

28g coffee • 450g water • coarse grind • 4 min steep • break crust and skim for clean, fruity cup
V60

20g coffee • 320g water • medium grind • 45 s bloom • total brew ~2:40 for balanced fruity sweetness
