Jebena Ritual hails from the celebrated Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, grown high and harvested between October and December. These heirloom Arabica beans are fully washed, producing a bright, aromatic cup with floral character and layered complexity. Expect delicate notes reminiscent of orange peel and soft brandy tones, making it an adventurous choice for filter or espresso.

The Origin Story

The Producer

Produced by smallholder farmers in Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe region, these coffees are cultivated on tiny family plots passed down through generations. Farming here remains deeply rooted in tradition, with heirloom varietals unique to the birthplace of coffee.

The Land

High in the Gedeo Zone at 1,700 to 2,000 meters, Yirgacheffe’s lush hills and cool climate create a rare microclimate. The area’s rich red soils and high rainfall are central to its global reputation for exceptional coffee.

The Craft

Cherries are hand picked and delivered to cooperative washing stations, where careful washing and fermentation methods preserve clarity and floral character. These cooperatives uphold fair pay and community reinvestment, supporting thousands of families.

Aeropress

16g coffee • medium‑fine grind • 60g fresh boiled water, 15s bloom, another 170g water and stir • 20-30s slow press at 3 min until hiss.

Moka Pot

16g coffee • 110g water • medium-fine grind • remove at first gurgle

French Press

30g coffee • 480g water • coarse grind • 4 min steep • break crust and skim for rich, rounded body

V60

20g coffee • 320g water • medium grind • 45 s bloom • total brew ~2:45 for a balanced brew
