Velho Camino, Brazil

The Origin Story

The Producer

Fazenda Pinhal is led by siblings Pedro and Mariana Gabarra, sixth generation coffee growers in Brazil’s Sul de Minas region. Known for their pioneering sustainability, they blend heritage with modern ecological practices — including a wildlife rehabilitation initiative called the Wings Project.

The Land

Nestled in the rolling hills of Sul de Minas at around 1,000 meters, their farm benefits from rich mineral soils and a mild climate. These conditions support Mundo Novo varietals and nurture biodiversity across protected forest corridors.

The Craft

The Gabarra family manages their farm with a carbon negative approach, hand selecting harvests and ensuring traceability from tree to cup. Their dedication to environmental stewardship has made Fazenda Pinhal one of Brazil’s most progressive coffee estates.
